Old Town Lansing welcomes the newest addition to the district, Greenfield Collection Antiques, an eclectic antique store located at 117 East Grand River. After closing their doors to pursue other career paths in August 2011, the three co-owners are back to continue what they love.

Are you ready to Rock the World? Rock the World is a 3.1 mile (5K) run taking place on Saturday, June 30 & Sunday, July 1 at Fitzgerald Park. Waves of runners will begin at 10:00am and continue every 45 minutes until 5:30pm. Sunday has two additional wave times at 6:15pm and 7:00pm. The trail course is loaded with at least 12 different obstacles in form of mud, dirt and hills to challenge even the most intense athlete. The obstacles planned involve making your way through mud & water, climbing, sliding, ducking, jumping and many other activities.

Michigan PRIDE will kick off its festivities Friday, June 15 in our very own Old Town.  PRIDE begins with The White Party at Grand Café Sir Pizza, which features live music, free pizza and pop for LGBT kids. The White Party is 18 and under from 5 - 8 p.m.

In their continued efforts to go green, Old Town is planning its fourth annual resourceful art competition: Scrapfest. In 2009 the Old Town Commercial Association (OTCA) created Scrapfest in complement to Festival of the Moon and Sun weekend activities to bring exciting creations and inventive faces to Old Town. This year Scrapfest will have seventeen teams participating in recycling scrap into art. The teams from across the country were selected for their artistic talents and their interest in repurposing scrap. Teams include:

Back for another year, Old Town and the greater Lansing area opens its doors for the people to explore what is right here in your own town.
