Design Services

So, you’re asking, what can the OTCA do for me? Well, for one thing, it can help you to re-imagine your building façade. Are your bricks a bit saggy and windows outdated (and not in a good way?)? Submit your application for Design Services from the experts at the Michigan Main Street Center @ MSHDA. Applicants need to be within the designated Main Street area (sorry, state’s rules) and the property owner needs to have the means to get the work done. Submit your application to the OTCA Design Committee, state your case and wait for their approval. (Homemade cookies help with the approval process, or so we hear.)  From there, an expert from the state will come out, walk through your building, discuss ideas and budgets and put together a great and historically appropriate package for sprucing up the exterior of the building. If you’re really nice, they’ll even do it in phases to help you save your pennies. So, what’re you waiting for? Apply already!
