Mary Elaine Kiener is a health professional who sees each client as a whole person: physically, emotionally and spiritually. She helps you focus on what it means to be healthy, rather than just “not blatantly sick.” During her educational preparation in nursing, Mary Elaine learned from Florence Nightingale’s writings to provide “an environment which facilitates, rather than disturbs, the natural healing process.” In both her doctoral studies and scholarly efforts she has sought to understand and facilitate the change journey. She has dedicated the past decade to helping others bridge the gap from curing to healing, transforming health into wholeness. Dr. Kiener’s colleagues and clients often affectionately refer to her as the “resource queen.” With a wealth of knowledge and over 30 years’ experience within both allopathic and complementary health traditions, she has a keen ability to find the best resources and share them with great sensitivity. In her private practice, Mary Elaine assists her clients to stress well. She especially enjoys working with clients who have identified an existing health crisis as an opportune turning point to envision and create a life of meaning, purpose and value [even if that should mean learning to “die well”!].
