Thank you to all who helped make the eighth annual Compassionate Feast possible. We were able to help more than 100 families in need enjoy a Thanksgiving feast this holiday season.
A special thank you to all the volunteers; to all who gave financial donations; to Troppo,TechSmith, Grand Traverse Pie Comany, Paramount Coffee, Great Harvest Bread Company, Olympic Broil and October Moon for in-kind food donations; to Top Flight for donating the moving truck and boxes; and to West Saginaw Meijer, Cristo-Rey, Head-Start, EVE, Inc. and North Presbyterian Church for partnering with us on this project.
Thank you all!

Kick Off the Holidays at Old Town Dickens Village

Mark your calendars for the second annual Old Town Dickens Village, Saturday & Sunday, December 6 & 7.  Old Town will be transformed into a Victorian wonderland with horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday market, music, carolers and more. Meet Scrooge, Tiny Tim, the ghosts and all your favorite characters from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
At 1 and 3p.m., Scrooge will see his gravestone and lead a parade of people, ready to celebrate the holiday season from Turner Mini Park to the Turner-Dodge House for music and hot cocoa.
It will also be a great day to get a jump start on holiday shopping, with all of Old Town’s shops open during the event.
