Farmers Market Season Begins

Join us for another season of the Old Town Farmers Market! The season begins this month and runs through October.

We had such success with the market last year that we are expanding the market to twice monthly. Markets will be every first Sunday, in conjunction with the first Sunday Gallery walk, and third Fridays of the month from Noon-6p.m. in the lot on the corner of Grand River Ave. and Turner St.

Stop by the first market on May 5 and stock up on plants for your garden or flowers your Mom on Mother’s Day. Each market will be stocked with plants, flowers and fresh produce and other food items. You can also enjoy live music by local acoustic musician and demonstrations by some of the vendors.

Farmers markets have been growing in popularity over the last few years because they are a great way to keep money in the local economy and are a source of beautiful plants and only the freshest food items. By shopping at the Old Town Farmers Market, you will not only be enjoying a great afternoon outside, but you will be supporting local farmers. And unlike shopping in grocery stores, which must wait for their food to be shipped, these farmers provide the freshest products you can find, because everything is locally grown.
