Good Truckin Receives MEDC Match on Main Grant to Support Continued Growth
Old Town is built on the creativity, passion, and dedication of the small businesses that call our district home. These businesses create the vibrant atmosphere that invites people to gather, explore, shop, and experience everything our community has to offer.
We’re excited to celebrate Good Truckin as one of the recipients of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Match on Main grant program. Good Truckin was selected as part of this year’s group of 69 small businesses across Michigan receiving more than $1.5 million in grant funding to support growth and investment in local commercial districts.
Match on Main provides eligible businesses with up to $25,000 to assist with launching, expanding, or improving their operations in downtown areas and walkable commercial corridors. Since the program began in 2019, it has supported more than 700 small businesses across Michigan, helping create new jobs and encouraging millions of dollars in private investment.
Good Truckin represents the entrepreneurial spirit that makes Old Town unique. Their commitment to creating a memorable experience for customers and contributing to the energy of the district reflects the importance of locally owned businesses in building strong communities.
The demand for programs like Match on Main continues to grow, with this year’s application cycle receiving a record 144 applicants from 83 communities throughout Michigan. Investments like these help ensure small businesses have the resources they need to continue growing and contributing to vibrant commercial districts.
Congratulations to Good Truckin on this exciting achievement! We’re proud to have them as part of the Old Town community and look forward to seeing the continued impact of this investment.
